What is it?

It is the best known train route from Ecuador, an perhaps also one of the most heard in southamerica. You can do a longer ride from Riobamba, or start at Alausi. The Devils Nose is a feature in the way, a granit wall, that had to be "conquered" by the train builders, and now is a major attraction due to the ingenious way in which they solved the problem.  

What can you do there?

Train ride, sightseeing. Best combined with other activity on the way to Cuenca, for example, the Ingapirca Inca Ruins, or a visit to any artisan village near Cuenca. It can be seen also on the way to Riobamba.
