General itinerary for the day

Today you will be picked up from your hotel and head towards the pier at Puerto Ayora. Upon arrival you will board one of the shared cruise ships that are allowed to do navigable day excursions, and start the ride towards Floreana. On the way you pass by the Devil's Crown Islets, where you can observe marine birds. After arrival to our destination, we will disembark and get ready for a local bus ride to the pirates caves in the highlands, to learn about the history of this place, and maybe see also some Galapagos Tortoises in captivity. After returning to the pier, we have lunch and afterwrds either enjoy the black beach by the Wittmers Pension, or hike along it towards a view point, where you can also do snorkeling. At mid afternoon we head back towards Santa Cruz. This excursion is offered as a shared-base service.
